Join us on Saturday 16 April to mark the final weekend of BRINK with special timed screenings of Priit Pärn’s Hotel E (1992) at The Gallery from 3pm (looped on the half hour).
BRINK will be open over at Dilston Grove from 11am – 7pm.
Produced in Estonia at the time of independence during the collapse of the USSR, Parn’s acclaimed animation sits in an ambivalent position switching between a sterile pastel-coloured vision of the American dream and a grim dystopic vision of Eastern European drones:
“Hotel E A resident moves into an adjoining room at the Hotel E. One room is dark and gloomy while the other is colourful and wonderful. This was made as the Cold War came to its halt and serves as a warning to oursociety” Priit Pärn.
Free admission, no booking required. Refreshments will be available between 3-7pm.
On Sunday 17th April, the last day of the exhibition, we will be open from 11am – 5pm as usual.
