Bermondsey Artists’ Group
Established in 1983 the Bermondsey Artists’ Group (BAG) is an artist-led initiative that supports Southwark Park Galleries and creates opportunities for artists who live, work or study in Southwark.
This peer-led network is a rare longstanding grassroots collective, maintaining a democratic framework and consistent core values; to support local artists to show their work and develop their practice.

Your work will be considered by the Bermondsey Artists’ Group representatives on the Board of Trustees. All applications will be accepted provided you can demonstrate you are working as a professional visual artist. Your work should not contradict the group’s constitution, and be sympathetic to the group’s original artist-led ethos.
How to Apply
The annual membership fee for the Bermondsey Artists’ Group is £30 or £20 for students or recent graduates (2 years), with renewal occurring in April. To apply for membership, please request an application form via firstname.lastname@example.org and send it together with examples of your recent work/ website address, a current CV.
Download the application form HERE or email email@example.com to find our more. Applications are reviewed at least twice annually and once your application has been approved you will receive payment information.
Once your membership has been accepted you will be sent information to set up a standing order for your membership and as soon as the first payment is made you will officially become a member of this group. You will then be invited to attend a Preview convenient to you to informally meet with other members in the group. Visual artists from all sections of the community are strongly encouraged to join the group.
