The In-Conversation event is part of our current exhibition Seek-Pray-Advance, Episode 1: Eyes Only by Megan Broadmeadow, on view at our Gallery until 29 April, Wed-Sun 11am-5pm.
Seek-Pray-Advance is Megan’s largest solo work to date, fuelled by her ongoing fascination of contemporary UFO religions, encounters, revelation and personal accounts of religious euphoria throughout history. The show at our gallery is the first chapter of an aggregative national touring exhibition co-commissioned by CGP London, Green Man Festival (Episode 2, August 2018) and QUAD, Derby (Episode 3, Autumn 2019).
Episode 1 is an intergalactic tale investigating the human condition of belief presented within an immersive site-specific environment in our gallery. Inspired by classic Sci-Fi films and TV productions, this set introduces us to the key characters of Seek-Pray-Advance, transporting us into an alternative reality that is both futuristic and nostalgic.
