Join artist puppeteer Isobel Smith at our free drop-in puppet-making workshops inspired by Marcia Farquhar’s exhibition currently showing in both our sites.

You will make lively puppets, dry papier mache masks and stage mini performances using a puppet theatre. For the Clothing Acts workshop on 27 October, please come wearing your favourite outfit.

The workshops have a capacity of 12 children at any one time. Though they are tailored to specific age groups, we will accommodate families with mixed ages and adapt the activities if required. Please note children must be accompanied by an adult.

Programme:

Wed 24 Oct: Wooden Spoon Puppets (the real prize)

Thurs 25 Oct: Giddy-up! Hooden Horse Puppets

Fri 26 Oct: Mask Making

Sat 27 Oct: Clothing Acts

Morning sessions (10am-12pm) open to Under Fives, afternoon sessions (1-3pm) open to 6-11 yrs.
