Southwark Park Galleries is seeking a fixed term Assistant Director (Maternity Cover)

We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our small, passionate gallery team on a fixed-term, maternity cover basis. The Assistant Director’s primary role is to support the Director in the delivery of all day to day running of the galleries and the production and delivery of all gallery exhibitions.

This is a 4 day per week PAYE position for a fixed-term period of 12 months (Oct/Nov 2020 – Oct/Nov 2021), with a probation period of 3 months.

Southwark Park Galleries (managed by the Bermondsey Artists’ Group) is a non-profit contemporary art gallery and registered charity, set across two contrasting spaces in the heart of Southwark Park, Bermondsey.

Over the past 36 years, we have commissioned over 160 free exhibitions by emergent, overlooked and established British and international artists. Southwark Park Galleries is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation. We exist to champion creative practice across all disciplines, supporting the careers of both artists and curators alike.
