Join us for our last gardening session of the season as we put the garden to bed for the winter. We will make fresh pesto from the basil collected in the garden and prepare the beds for the colder weather. There will be smoothies and cake!
With generous help from the Neighbourhood Fund, the Amicable Society in Rotherhithe and Tesco Bags of Help, we have been running weekly gardening sessions for pre-schoolers and their families since April this year. This has been an inspiring, educational and lively project that has brought together local families on a weekly basis who have thrown themselves into the gardening.
Things to note: These sessions are accessible, inclusive and open to all families. The Gallery Garden was redeveloped with capital funding from the Tesco Bags of Help Fund to provide better access to younger gardeners, prams, buggies and to wheelchair users. Our toilets are accessible and have baby changing facilities.
The workshops are free and drop-in but have a limited capacity, so please arrive on time to avoid disappointment. Please note children must be accompanied by an adult. Make sure you wear appropriate clothing for outdoor play.
The Gardening Sessions are generously supported by The Community Council Fund, Amicable Society in Rotherhithe, and Tesco Bags of Help.
