CGP London // Family Zone in Southwark Park
Saturday 30 June // 12am – 5pm // Bird Parade at 3pm

THIS WORKSHOP HAS A CAPACITY OF 15 PEOPLE AT ANY ONE TIME.

As part of this year’s Bermondsey Carnival, artist Alexa Lowe is leading a free drop-in art workshop at the Family Zone in Southwark Park. The workshop is open to all ages and inspired by our nest box commission in Southwark Park by Alec Finlay. We will make our own bird masks based on the birds that inhabit the park and join a bird parade in our creations to some of the nest boxes. The parade is scheduled at 3pm.

Alexa Lowe is an artist interested in exploring the voice of the mark, through a range of materials and methods. She is interested in how the process of making brings thoughts into being and works with different community groups to encourage and further develop creative expression for all. She holds a BA in Visual Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles (2006).
